Lane Community College Track & Field Complex

Cameron McCarthy prepared a comprehensive master plan and led the design process through construction documents for improvements for the LCC track & field facility and the new soccer facility.  Improvements included: two new FieldTurf surfaced playfields, a new 400-meter IAAF track (Beynon BSS 2000 surface) and field event areas, pedestrian walks, stairways, concrete retaining walls, new field lighting, a scoreboard and PA system. The design process included an eco-charrette and the development of sustainable design strategies that were integrated into the final design. Strategies included salvage and reuse of existing soils, selection of materials with recycled content, and permeable paving. CM also just returned to this project to provide design and construction oversight services to replace the two synthetic turf fields as they were at the end of their life and ready to be refreshed.
