Education and Professional Experience

Claire is a landscape designer and assists with project production and design. She joined Cameron McCarthy after receiving her Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from California Polytechnic University San Luis Obispo in 2021.

From a young age Claire has been passionate about design and nature. During her time at Cal Poly, she took up an interest in wildfire ecology and fire management. Her senior project explored ways landscape architecture projects can be used to protect and prepare vulnerable communities for the onslaught of wildfire incidents.

Claire previously worked as a landscape architect intern in Seattle and served as an AmeriCorps member in Colorado, building and maintaining hiking trails with her 10-person crew. Throughout the school year Claire worked as a student librarian and teaching assistant and was a part of the Student Leadership in Green Infrastructure club where she and her clubmates designed and built a stormwater facility on campus.

Personal

Claire is originally from Vancouver B.C. and grew up in California. When not working, Claire enjoys hiking/backpacking, biking, and skiing. She is excited to explore all the PNW has to offer and summit as many mountains as possible. In addition, she hopes to get involved with trail maintenance again and put her crosscut skills to use.
