Education & Professional Experience
Ethan received a Bachelors of Landscape Architecture and Bachelors of Environmental Design from North Dakota State University in 2014. During his time at NDSU, Ethan became interested in public spaces and how they enhance communities and improve quality of life. His thesis project re-envisioned a 40-acre railyard situated between downtown Minot and Minot’s Riverfront. The primary goal of the project was to create a multi-seasonal riverfront park and provide a gathering space for the downtown area which would act as a catalyst for further development within the a blighted industrial area.
Following graduation, Ethan joined a multi-disciplinary firm assisting public and private projects including; riverfront master planning, commercial developments, parks and recreation, and periodically performed wetland delineations and OWHM Identifications. Ethan’s creative process paired with his technical experience allows him to take on a wide variety of tasks ranging from big picture master planning all the way down to site details.
Ethan was born and raised in Minot, ND and has resided within state of North Dakota much of his life. Ethan lives up to the regional stereotypes of being “North Dakota Nice” and possesses a strong work ethic. Ethan is excited to call Eugene home and is eager to explore the Pacific Northwest. When not working, Ethan enjoys tinkering around with personal projects and staying active outside. Whether it’s mountain biking, snowboarding, hiking, or camping, if it involves the outdoors, he is probably up for it.
